After such positive replies to my previous question about night/dream nursing, here’s another element of ABF I wish to ask your views of.
When suckling with my recent partner, particularly in the head-in-lap position, I would nurse on each breast for around five to ten minutes, then unlatch for a minute or so before switching to the other breast. During these pauses, she would often hold my head tight to her breasts, in a kind of deep cuddle, her breasts feeling like warm soft cushions.
I enjoyed those ‘cushioning cuddles’ as much as her, because somehow it felt really comforting and connecting, almost as much as suckling itself. Have others shared this, or felt the same way?
I find it enjoyable for her to hold me tight like that. To feel her warmth and breath in the scent of a woman. Any touching/caressing while breastfeeding adds to the shared intimacy.
I enjoyed doing that to/with my last partner. It’s like the best hug. But really, for me during that little break, that hug felt like it was just for me and it felt like he was reciprocating the care I feel for him, so it energized me. Sometimes I would sneak a little kiss on his forehead before I let go. I will say there is moment during that hug that he would exhale and relax even further and I would just beam from the inside knowing I brought him some comfort.
Edit to add, that I also love it when they nuzzle up to them and just use them as pillows 🙂

I would definitely be the one to add forehead kisses while actively being suckled and warm boobie smothers during rest breaks.But generally, to guys require like, a lot of air during these rest break nuzzles? I mean, is access to oxygen a requirement the ‘ENTIRE’ time during a session or no?
If one could just maybe learn to hold their breath a while longer….
Wait, actually….I think there are swim/diving 🏊🏾♀️ classes that can help teach that.Hurrah!
@powerpuffgurl There’s always plenty of air to breathe while suckling, so long as the nose isn’t completely smothered by a large full breast(!) I used those little pauses to rest my jaw and her nipples, since too much suckling can actually cause both to grow sore.
Totally get it. I’m sure there’s plenty that can be accomplished during those pauses. And would most def need a soreness break.
@lbclisa @powerpuffgurl ladies those tender touches feel fantastic. Hugging me to your bosom while switching nipples is wonderful. Later, resting one’s head on her puffy pillows for a nap or for the night is the best way to fall asleep.🤗🤗😘🥰😋
