InactiveThis was such a well written article and it applies equally to men and women. I had to share it with everyone. We’ve all probably met at least one narcissist online or off.

InactiveThank you for sharing
May 10, 2023 at 8:09 am #278205Thank you, I think everyone should be aware of what to look for especially online. I was unfortunate to meet one a few years ago, a friend of friends at their party. I ended the relationship after a few months but I wouldn’t wish that on anyone! Be alert!
It’ll be like a whirlwind and you won’t even realise you’ve been caught up in it. I didn’t know what a narcissist was, if I’d have known I’d have been able to tick the boxes very quickly and ran very fast in the first week!May 10, 2023 at 11:01 am #278234That was very interesting – thanks for posting

InactiveI’m sorry you had that experience, I took had that experience and it went much further. Almost ruined my life, you dodged a bullet.
Since then I’ve met a few online, and now I see the patterns. It’s important to take care of yourself and know these men and women are especially adept with online relationships.May 10, 2023 at 4:13 pm #278351Anonymous
InactiveI was in a relationship for 5 years with someone I met online. It was very abusive. At first he love bombed so hard. I had just come out of a failed marriage where I was treated like a roommate. There wasn’t a lot of affection from him at all. So, I got swept up in it so fast. I hadn’t had any experience with a narcissist or with abusive relationships. I was vas very naive and it almost cost me my life

I’m glad that both of you weren’t ruined and are still around to give this guy some grief.😜😂🤣🤗May 11, 2023 at 1:53 am #278591I had to look the definition up, lol. I found it interesting. I do think highly of myself, though don’t require admiration, I do believe many are inferior and I definitely lack empathy for others. I’m not sure I struggle with relationships and I’m never overwhelmed with sadness.
So does that mean I’m only half nacassisstic?

I found the replies to your article interesting as well and would add some other potential signs. Those who are excessively on chat which correlates to a heavy need for attention/validation, a need for constant interaction and belief that everyone wants a reply from them; those who have multiple unsuccessful relationships (many failed relationships or marriages, though narcissists don’t see this, as they see the failure on the partner’s part and don’t take ownership).
