When dry is too dry

Interesting…can’t say I have encountered dry mouth before. Do they encounter dry mouth normally throughout the day or just when nursing?

It’s hard to say without more info but I’m thinking they may be suckling too hard, drying out there mouth that way, so ease up a bit. Or if naturally dry mouth, just have a bottle of water on hand and have a drink every now and then.

@milkieme A bottle of room temperature water works for me. Occasionally share a sip or two with your partner, the back to la la land.🤗

I couldn’t produce milk but replicated it by attaching a very thin canula to my breast and nipple which was attached to a fluid bag and in effect acted like an IV and my husband was hence “fed” milk as he suckled. I was a nurse at the time so had easy access to what I needed and knew how to set it up etc but it’s easy enough to both find what you need and how to do it online if you wanted to try that 🙂

I find JollY Rancher candies to be very good at keeping my mouth from getting dry. I pop one in my mouth before a suckling session and my mouth stays moist with plenty of saliva for the upcoming journey to blissville my partner and I will take together.
