Private Notes: how to use!

I am getting messages from users saying that their Private Notes are not “getting through” and even though they are visible (in yellow box) on the respective profile, the recipient “never replies”.

TO BE CLEAR: these notes are not Private Messages, they are little reminders TO YOURSELF about other users, they are visible ONLY TO YOU.

So when you leave a note on someone’s profile, only you can see it. The owner of the profile can not see it, nor can any other user.
