All of us here know that one of the most difficult hurdles to finding an ANR partner is the amount of time it takes or distance travelled to get to your partner.
What is the longest amount of time or furthest distance you’ve traveled, or have had someone travel to you, for a first ANR date?
Same question for an ANR partner you’ve seen or currently see regularly. Any frequent ANR fliers out there?
For me, 2 hours one way by car, on more than one occasion.

InactiveI’ve traveled 1,500 miles one way. I’ve logged over 10,000 miles traveling to do what I dearly enjoy. I wish I could find someone here in Dallas, the 4th largest metro area in the USA. I have no idea how people in rural areas find anyone.

InactiveMy partner lives 14 hours by car, almost 4 plus a layover by plane (no direct flights). We take turns flying to each other.
April 7, 2022 at 10:54 pm #122703April,
How often do you see each other?

Inactive@Tim, you’re not the only one who realizes DFW is practically dry. I’m ready to expand my search and time for weekends and vacations with someone compatible in another accessible metro. I just don’t want to be another ‘M4F’ posted in the classifieds– there’s too many as is.
April 7, 2022 at 11:18 pm #122709Roger,
It seems from searches here that Philly is somewhat of a hotbed of women who are looking for an ANR partner. Southern Jersey as well. Pittsburgh area no slouch either.

InactiveI can definitely relate, Roger!

Inactive`Tim,Roger,
The pickings are more than slim in rural areas, and most of the time the conversation dwindles and then dissappears long before a meeting can take place on their end of things because they simply can’t or won’t make time for this.
The farthest a man has come to meet thus far was from Florida, and we didn’t like each other in person.April 8, 2022 at 12:43 am #122726I traveled 6 hours for a weekend,we had connection until the last day when I found out he lied to me.
That being said, I would still travel to meet someone.

InactiveMy last partner flew from Canada to NY. Then moved closer to CT about 2 he commute each way. Now up state, 5 hour drive each way or just over an hour flight. Distance is the common hurdle it seems.
April 8, 2022 at 1:19 am #122731Distance can be an issue. The closest meet has been an hour and a quarter away. Two to three hours seems to be the norm. The furthest was about 1800 miles. 😬
Scheduling is more of an issue than distance for me.April 8, 2022 at 1:40 am #122733Anonymous
Inactive@Vincent, we see eachother every 1.5-2 months
