Hi all,
Trying to understand what makes a good breast picture?
Is it the bra, the position of the camera, both or single breasts shown, the angle (from a nursing vs a straight angle), the lighting (vivid, color, the darkness), the tease of a covering, the confidence of her, the allure, warmth, the suppleness, the milkiness, the nipples, the sagging, the aureoles, the sensitivity or something else indescribable, undefinable like a moment in time captured for eternity in one’s memory and something that you draw on and nibble at, once in a while ?!?!!
Let me know this is a top secret study. Thanks!!
May 10, 2023 at 2:01 pm #278258For me, it’s how artistically it is presented. I see it more as part of the person, not just an object.
May 10, 2023 at 2:11 pm #278259I agree Nick, so more of the full woman, shoulders, arms, clad in a shawl or a scarf with more of an aura than an actual physical aspect to it? It makes a lot of sense.

Bras …I adore em
Cleavage …makes the breasts look so welcoming and soft irrespective of the size. Like nature’s own boob-job.May 10, 2023 at 3:11 pm #278291Balconette bras!
May 10, 2023 at 3:38 pm #278318Natures own boob job, I guess I understand 😉
Bras and cleavage noted.

InactiveI love to see at least the shoulders, chin, lips included. Her eyes can really amp up the emotional energy but that is not always practical for privacy reasons. In general though, the energy and emotion added by body language from shoulders, chin, and lips really make the photo pop for me.

It can be any of the comments above. You typed a pretty extensive list. It comes down to each individual. It can also be situational.
For example going topless outdoors letting the sun shine across her bosom is a special image for me. In another situation her breasts hanging down just about to touch my lips is also special.
A photo in clothing showing her curves or open displaying a nipple or hint of, can be quite alluring.Perhaps the best breast pictures are the ones you enjoy taking both singularly and together.🤗😘
Hopefully, the results of your top secret survey won’t be “Top Secret.” 😜😂🤣🙄

InactiveI suppose we have two types of boob pics shared here, those intended to be erotic and those not so much. Of a great latch, profile image, or pumping for example.
I find erotic boobs pics really hot when the shape is accentuated with shadow / lighting; where fine detail of areolas and veins are visible.May 11, 2023 at 1:59 am #278594Not a fan of those.

May 11, 2023 at 1:06 pm #278777First lesson from art school, shape and proportion are far more important than size. Likewise, the camera angle can significantly contribute to the overall aesthetic, both towards catching the subject at her most favorable angle and making for a more balanced composition as a whole.
That applies to photography in general. Talking about breasts specifically in this context, my pet peeve are pictures so zoomed in that it becomes difficult to make out the shape and its nuances. Don’t get me wrong, I like to see the texture of the nipple too, closeups certainly have their place.
May 11, 2023 at 2:22 pm #278797Makes a lot of sense. It’s all about the eye of the beholder for sure. The aesthetic of an interest in breasts for eg.
Not being a man, but still having a very curious mind, I can’t help asking a) what is the first time or situation when the first interest arises? b) what are the first feelings that result in your looking at a woman? – are they mostly of a holistic nurturing interest?
There is a reason for me asking these questions, because I realize that if and when, the sexual aspect is ignored or put aside, deeper feelings or connections develop. The energy from that experience is more enduring and transformative than the initial response to a woman’s bust in all its beauty.

InactiveFor me the first awareness of female breasts was quite a memorable occasion. I accidentally saw my mom topless in her bedroom. It was not a peeping Tom situation. I walked in on her and she immediately froze while changing her clothes, after which she quickly recovered and shooed me out. At the time I was maybe 10 or 11 years old. We never spoke about it but there was a weird tension for the rest of that day. She didn’t really look directly at me even when talking to me that afternoon. Every time that I have ever thought back on that event the memory always has the same emotional elements of a cool and dim room ( but not like night time dark ) along with the nurturing sense of it being somewhere safe and someone who cares for me. Yes, seeing her breasts bounce to a stop when she froze captured my full attention but I remember slowly moving my gaze away to look at all of her and then around the room as I realized I shouldn’t be looking at her. I am not trying to set an incest porn flick kind of tone but as a first exposure for me, I think it helped set the tone of how I perceived breasts and women, in general, as I grew up. I think that is why I enjoy breast photos that include emotion of the eyes and pose of the mouth and lips along with the energy portrayed in the set of shoulders and chin.
