The puzzles are simple, but the subject matter is fun to watch come together.
So, how many of you play with the way the puzzle takes shape? For example, you might solve the background first, then find shoulders or hair, and work your way to her eyes or smile or chest, etc? Do you even select which few last tiles to put in to complete it, just for fun?
In other words, do you “save the best for last?”
Generally, I start to complete one side of the periphery, working to have a complete border before moving to the interior. Sometimes I’ll start in a corner and move out on a Ray fashion. Most of the time I’ll piece together the “best part for last” separately, moving it over as a subassembly to complete the puzzle at the end.
It can be difficult to do if the lady has grand Tetons.
Thats a fun way to do it, Dr.S. I typically do puzzles outside—>in like Groggs. Although these have a very different subject matter than the ones I usually do, so a new technique may be warranted!
I do the top & bottom edges then the left & right edges. Then I fill in the middles. I use the same method on other virtual puzzles and it’s worked out pretty well.
I do all edges then fill in the middle.
