InactiveCremosa78 Do you ever wake your partner to nurse at night?
March 2, 2022 at 8:55 am #109269@cremosa78 that’s exactly what I’m looking for, I’d love that.
March 2, 2022 at 12:33 pm #109326I’m a fairly heavy sleeper, but would be enthralled to have someone just latch on anytime he wanted, especially if I was asleep. I probably wouldn’t even wake, but I’m sure it was influence my dreams. Knowing we were close enough for him to be comfortable to do that would be amazing. The things dreams are made of.

Inactive@Heidi I would absolutely love to find somebody who would be comfortable with that. I hope you can find someone who wants to nurse at night. I think it would be a truly wonderful experience.

Inactive@Cremosa78 that sounds absolutely amazing, I’m glad that you were able to find someone who enjoys nursing at night as much as you do.

InactiveNight nursing is like anything in any relationship. There’s fantasy and there’s reality and they don’t always match.
The reality is that night nursing can be really good, but it can also be challenging.
The fantasy, as has been said really well in the other posts is that it’s this dreamy thing, slipping in and out of sleep with your face snuggled against your partner’s breasts… but it’s not always that way.
Maybe wake up with your neck in an odd position and it’s stuck that way for the next 24 hours till the kinked up muscle let’s go.
Maybe wake up to nurse and then she falls asleep again easily and you spend the next three hours trying to get back to sleep and then the alarm goes off.
Maybe wake up to nurse… On the wrong side of the bed and you’re grumpy and she’s breathing right between your eyes but your too sleepy to do anything about it until you finally wake all the way up. Tell her you love her but you’re just too tired to nurse… But she’s still got one side that needs done ot it’ll be sore.
Maybe you wake up to nurse but you’re not really all the way awake and while trying to latch on you accidentally bite her and she screams and then you’re both very awake and not terribly happy with each other.
Nursing is like anything in any relationship. Sometimes it’s amazing and wonderful, and sometimes it takes some work. Things won’t always work like the stories or your fantasies say they should. That doesn’t mean the relationship is doomed, it just means stuff happens, stuff takes work, and stuff isn’t always easy.
That’s life.
April 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm #123989Dave, gas done valid points. It’s not all pixie dust and faeries.
Don’t let that discourage you from trying it out. There may be some work around needed. Such is life.
Now me, I prefer woodland nymphs to faeries. Just saying. 😉😜😂🤣April 11, 2022 at 1:10 pm #123999My husband has been wonderful with all this nursing stuff, even though I’m the one who wanted it. The only thing I haven’t been able to convince him to do is night nurse. I want it so bad that it keeps me up at night. He has trouble getting back to sleep if he is awoken so I don’t think my night nursing fantasy is going to come true. Everytime he moves a little I’m hoping, but then he rolls over the opposite direction. 😥

InactiveGalacta, I hope the both of you will be able to come to some sort of a compromise with it.
April 21, 2022 at 7:56 am #128246Lol me too. Here it is 2:55 AM and I’m awake wanting to nurse him again. He’s sleeping like a baby…

InactiveAwe. I hear you. I know it’s not exactly the same, but I often wake up at night wanting to nurse.
