Personally, I feel that if you aren’t engaging in any sexual contact in addition to the nursing, that it should be your own business. In Oregon, where I live, public nudity is legal unless you are demonstrating some kind of sexual activity. So, you would have a strong case if you were to be cited. However, that would not prevent the police from citing you or a risk of public exposure in the form of a reporter picking up the story on a slow news day or members of the public posting about it on social media.
I have been lucky enough to have breastfed outside in state park or a wildlife management area. While not crowded there was always a chance of detection. We had a spare blanket if needed.

People has problem with mother feeding their infants. Don’t think public adult nursing will go without creating any raucous. It may be ok to do discretely in some secluded or less travelled area. Like Grogman has done.
Our society is not ready for it yet.I think its possible to do it just about anywere and people not knowing cuz we can do it in clever ways
I know that in Texas, the law is if it gives sexual gratification (orgasm or genitals touching is unimportant), then it’s illegal. I think that it would be hard to defend in court, and I don’t like going to jail, so……..
