Hi gang, I almost wonder if the new members are just bots, or perhaps created just to make it look more active here. Accounts are created that don’t have ability to contact and others are created and never have activity after first day. Hmmm.
It seems that a new member has access to limited functionality for a limited period of time.
New members should be aware that they may be bombarded with messages. Choose your filters wisely.– “bots” are computer-generated accounts, created randomly by systems connecting to the Registration page. There are no “bots” on ABFheaven. None. Zero. They are all blocked at registration, there are very robust measures in place to prevent this issue.
– “or perhaps created just to make it look more active here.” …no, not true at all. Plus that’s an insult against me, the Admin.
Read the link below, it will explain why newly registered users can not immediately be contacted with messages or friend requests. This is not within their control, it’s automated, and it is very necessary to keep this website as safe as possible for all users.
I appreciate the clear response to my original post. I didn’t realize the diligence to screening, unlike many other sites. I humbly apologize for suggesting that some activity might be added for appearance. I looked for a way to delete my post, since it was erroneous, I do not see that option. I’ve been a long-term user of the site, I appreciate a safe place to be a member. ☮
