I strongly suggest they find a way to verify these accounts better. Ever profile that I’ve messaged or who has contacted me is FAKE! It’s making me not want to continue searching here anymore….the site is becoming predictable in a bad way and not authentic

.The next “update/ improvement” should be more authentication and stricter rules for verification. Actual video chatting with an Admin, Photos doing a certain thing instructed by Admin or something that would verify that you are who you say you are. It could be time consuming and tedious, but it would make the site much more productive and exclusive… Quality over quantity…. Otherwise people will continue to waste time replying to bots, foreigners, and scammers who have no intentions on creating an actual ANR.

Really? Everyone I messaged has been real. Not saying everyone has been…..well pleasant lol. There are time wasters its unfortunate. I’m always straight forward with what I’m looking for and others should be too. Men and women.
I just find it interesting. Maybe I have been lucky.

Me too. I don’t find fake accounts. Douchebags, yes. Fake? No, they’re real douchebags.
It’d be lots of work, but maybe ID verification? I know other social sites do that.

@milky desires Ive met 2 women. I’ve messaged a bit over the past 2 years though. Just takes time and seeing whos compatible. Sucks cause of distance you’ll have better luck cause you are on the west side of US.
The real estate issue is the worst of it. When you do meet a decent person, you’re separated by a minimum of hundreds if not thousands of miles. And for some reason all of the people within a 60-100 mile radius all are looking for something else. Either they don’t want a commitment or just aren’t serious.
Very unfortunate you’ve encountered people who are not honest about their intentions. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening when people misrepresent themselves.
I can’t fathom the time and resources required to verify people on a site this size though.
I think the onus is on each individual to use the tools provided to do our own quality assurance tests.
Use the voice feature to hear the other person’s voice. Invite them into chat to see how they interact with others.
If someone is being honest, they have nothing to hide and if they are truly interested they’ll want to share who they are in an open and sincere way.
Whether online or meeting someone by chance on the street in daily life, it’s much like finding a rare gem in a haystack and it takes time and patience.
It’s not easy by a long stretch, but the wait and weeding out is worth it.
Or dare I say it, start charging to join. That will weed out a lot of chancers
I’m going to disagree here.
In my experience, everyone I have chatted to has been genuine – have I always wanted to continue chatting after the initial messages? No.
I am not saying there are no fakes on this site. However, given that this is run by Michael in his own time I think he does a good job of weeding out the obvious fakes.
We are all adults here. As with any other internet site, the onus is on the individual to verify the person we are talking to is who they say they are.
You can ask for a picture of them doing something specific (touch their nose or hold up a bit of paper with a random word on it), or ask for a voice message saying something specific.
I think charging people to be members would put some of them off, and it’s unfair to shoulder Michael with the responsibility of weeding out every fake on here when we should all be sensible enough to take the necessary precautions when starting up a chat with a new person.
Before posting how upset you are with the site, please be mindful that the Admin has done all this voluntarily without monetizing all the wonderful resources he has provided to us as we seek our deepest desires. Desires most of us do not share openly.
I have dabbled in designing websites and it is no small task to create all he has here for us and all the while he continues to improve and add wonderful features.
This is more than a full time job to keep up with and would rather be on this site seeking than a random fet/dating site run by a bunch of random staff in China just seeking financial gain. Michael has our backs here, in that I am fully confident.I too have had my struggles meeting someone real who is not wanting a fly by night suckle and groping session or just sex. I would also pay in the triple digits++ to have a vetting option, the little blue check, knowing someone also paid to have a background check, live FaceTime verification vetting and is serious in finding a partner; however I also realize that takes staff to manage and more.
I’ll apologize now for any typos, head bump a while back left me a bit off on spelling.
Here’s to hoping we all find that which we are seeking. Thank you Michael for the opportunity.
Didn’t even know they had fake male profiles.. definitely had some pretty shady female profiles in other countries or fake pics
