A Day In The Future
Thinking back
As I watch you sleep,
In the hours before
Morning.Quietly smiling at your
Bed-head hair,
Committing to memory,
The moonlight on your face,
And the warm weight of your
Outstretched arm
Resting against my neck,I remember
A time before I knew this.This comfort
And joyful commitment.
Finding calm in each others eyes,
Thoughts of being close to you,
Ever occupying my mind,
Passion unfolding
In each kiss and embrace.It began,
And was brought to be,
At the breast.
With shared truths and trust,
Bonding,
In each others arms.A day in the future.
