Yes, I agree with you 100%.
If I’ve had good communication and I want to continue chatting on a more fluid level, I’ll ask to move to discord, mostly because it is easier for me to chat there as most of my friends are there. Especially during work hours. But since my work has made cell reception nearly impossible and don’t allow anyone on the network for internet, communication is at a standstill during the day, so it now makes no difference.
The only chat programs I wont use are Skype, KIK or other voice chat programs for personal reasons and for others with ulterior motives that tend to use them due to their lack of accountability and safety (deletes messages shortly after received).
I also prefer text and use it exclusively in replying, which tends to be massively unpopular with a lot of people. I like to think out my responses a bit and for some, that’s not okay. 🤷♀️ It is what it is…
