Often we talk about how anr can be relaxing for both the suckler and the producer for lack of a better term. I am wondering if any one has experienced any positive health benefits to drinking or producing milk.

Breast milk supposedly contains HGH (Human growth hormone). Great if you do a lot of weight lifting.

I’ve cant comment as I’ve never had breast milk 😝

And his story was featured on Netflix on Un-well.

There is some studies but you really have to search for it.

There is so many benefits to women and the recipient.

    Hope that helps.

I nursed all of my children and was a donor 2 different times to milk banks.

    Marrisa makes good points.

Also helps to give the recepient anti-bodies to fight many infections.

I’ve recently have covid vaccines and its shown that antibodies are in the milk to baby to fight covid of they caught it.

If women don’t breastfeed they are at increased risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer (the reason why i phrased it like that and not ‘if women breastfeed…’ because women are designed to breastfeed, it’s lack of breastfeeding increases illnesses)

    Emma correct.
My mother use to work in midwives.

She would say the breasts are meant to be used.

It’s kinda like a car if you let it set there it will have more problems ( rust , battery, etc)
So think of your body it suppose to be running a good battery.
Less chances of Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer

One both side of my Paternal and Maternal side going back 3 generations have had breast cancer and Ovarian.

From a medical professional standpoint, I’ve always been rather cautious about lactation because it draws calcium from the woman’s bones and reduces estrogen, which protects bone loss. Now, a child eventually weans so calcium and bone density readjusts itself after breastfeeding is done.
However, an ABF relationship means there is no weaning, so calcium/mineral/estrogen loss is a much greater risk. I would remind couples doing ABF that you literally are pulling nutrients from her body to create the milk. She is giving her life and her bones to feed you. Please be sure that her diet is high quality, high in minerals, and please talk with her physician to make sure lactation is right for her individual health. If you are older, you may need to track bone density. Please be safe and informed on this journey.

Aside from milk nourishment, the calm satisfaction of ABF for both partners is healthy for mental well-being.

I believe there are tremendous benefits to both the giver and receiver of breastmilk.

I’d like to echo @treasurechest’s comments from a personal perspective.

When my son was born I remember the tremendous amount of food, water and rest it took to produce milk.

Also when I’ve attempted to induce, I needed a lot more sleep and water and was significantly hungrier than usual. Very easy to get run down even before milk appears.

If your partner is inducing or lactating, being extra mindful of the toll it takes on the woman’s body it’s important to maintaining good health and a balanced relationship.
