Thank you @winter. Did you take anything for the heartburn. Can you remember how long it lasted.
March 11, 2022 at 4:53 pm #113036If I remember right it was pretty bad the first week or two especially at night. I would eat toast during the day with the dose and that helped a lot. I think I just took antacids to help with the heartburn. But now I have no issues with heartburn even with a higher dose.

InactiveDomperidone actually helps with my heartburn issues. I suggest taking tums as needed for a week or two and if it doesn’t go away on its own start taking Prilosec. Btw, tums soft chews are the best.

InactiveI found Domperidone, at a very reasonable price, at this site I’ve been buying meds for a sick family member. (They’re all out of the heart meds he needs in his country or when they do get a supply, they marked it up 4 times the regular price there. He’s been happy and functional ever since I’ve been helping him.)
Anyways, here the link for Domperidone:

Ok so I havent had the most optimistic start I’m afraid.
The first 5 or 6 days on domperidone I had awful heartburn and felt a strange hunger constantly. I took antacids from day 3 to 6 and after that didnt need them, the hunger also seem to go to. I’m still following the keto diet so that might be why. I had only just got to increase my dose from 10mg three times daily to 20mg when I came down with awful back pains which I thought was a uti but been cautious I stopped the domperidone while I’m on medication from my doctor for the pain. I plan to restart the dom again tomorrow and I’m gonna try start at the increased dose of 20mg 3 times daily. 10mg three times daily did nothing for my milk which I wasnt expecting it to anyway.
Anyhow I’ll update again in a few weeks.
March 27, 2022 at 7:44 pm #118454I am on day 3 of taking 20mg 3xs a day and I’ve already went from having one or two teeny tiny drops on one side to both sides having a small drizzle from multiple places on the nipples! It’s a clear fluid with a white tint. I am super excited!!!!
March 27, 2022 at 7:50 pm #118455@galacta omg I’m delighted for you. That’s giving me great hope. Were you long on a lower dose before upping it and are u having any side affects?
Also are you taking anything else with it please?
March 28, 2022 at 3:54 am #118564I was not on a lower dose. I just started taking it 3 days ago. The only other thing I’m taking is sun flower lecithin. I started trying to induce on February 17th. My husband suckles 3xs a day, I use a tens unit 1x a day and hand express once during the night. Oh, and no side effects so far.
March 29, 2022 at 1:31 am #118973How wonderful @galacta – so happy for you and your husband.
March 30, 2022 at 1:14 pm #119392As of yesterday, I have actual, real milk, not just clear fluid. There’s not much, maybe like a teaspoon at the most, but its milk. 😊😊😊
Oh, and hubby likes it!!!
March 30, 2022 at 1:44 pm #119398@galacta that’s brilliant. I’m day 3 on 3 doses of 20mg and my left nipple was drenched after pumping. Hope it’s a sign of things to come.
March 30, 2022 at 9:39 pm #119557@Juicyboobies That’s great!!! Have your side effects gone away?
March 31, 2022 at 11:21 am #119684@galacta so far so good. I today will be my first day taking 2 x 10mg every 6 hours so this will the most I’ve had in a day. I meant to ask I’m going out tomorrow night. does anyone know if we are ok to drink alcohol while taking them?
March 31, 2022 at 3:16 pm #119745I don’t know what the official advice is advice is but I do know that I get into my wine at night and I’m fine 🙂
