So….I’ve been on this site for close to two years & have now found a wonderful ANR partner from this site if you can believe that! I’ve relocated & we have started inducing/re-lactation as I’ve nursed my kids but it’s been over 10 years now. We are trying nursing only for now (no meds) but was wondering if any of the ladies or men that have helped a partner induce, have any tips or advice to help bring my milk in? I’m not currently pumping but we are nursing at least four times a day with extended sessions for the first & last of the day. I’m familiar with galactagogues but it’s been a while. We’d like to use natural & organic foods or supplements to help produce if anyone would like to chat with us about recipes etc!

InactiveYou could try eating oatmeal with brewer’s yeast added as often as possible. That can help with milk production.
December 21, 2022 at 3:52 am #222042Most important thing is to suckle and/or pump on a consistent schedule. 4 times a day is the minimum, 6 is better. You want your body to believe there is a reason to start producing again.
Congrats on finding your ANR partner, and on this site, too.
Best of luck!December 21, 2022 at 4:34 am #222051Congratulations. Moringa, goats rue and liquid gold are recommended. I think you may need to increase the amount of sessions. I dont think you will have success with 4 seesions daily though. Also @mika does a wonderful podcast covering this. Its called the lactation station. Best of luck and keep us posted if u dont mind
December 21, 2022 at 5:21 am #222063Juicyboobies:I’m curious why you say we won’t be successful with 4 sessions a day? Have you lactated? I have previously & from what I’ve read it is easier to lactate again if you have prior & I was nursing babies. I am feeling signs that my body is responding & not looking for comments that are discouraging as we are going to continue as we are comfortable no need to increase stress with trying to go beyond what we’re comfortable with. I think we are a success story for this site!
December 21, 2022 at 1:10 pm #222103@kernvee you asked for advice i merely gave my reply which was not meant to cause offence. I have posted my own thread on this when i was inducing also after 10 years. I also had positive signs and was pumping every 2 hours day anf night. But good luck on your journey.

InactiveWhat juicyboobies said is unfortunately true. Unless stimulation 4 times a day may be enough for some changes in the breasts and you will be lucky to get a few drops of milk with each session. If you do the research you will find that even with the use of domperidone the majority of women will not produce more than 2 to 3 ounces every 2 to 3 hours.
I breast fed 5 kids, I hyper lactated, and induced almost 4 years ago without and with the use of domperidone.
