So Im inducing lactation, it’s been a couple of weeks, I’m usually tens, pump, domperidone and herbs (as well as the occasional pair of lips) … just wondering for those of you who have been on this journey longer than me … what were your first signs of milk?
I was told last night that my left nipple tasted sweet and so I’m feeling all optimistic 😍
April 13, 2022 at 12:32 pm #124803When I was trying to induce (gave up for a few reasons), I think first was noticable nipple changes, larger, longer, more sensitive. Then were the visible clear drops of liquid. I didn’t have a suckler so I don’t know about any taste changes. And that’s as far as I got at the time. Good luck to you!

April 13, 2022 at 2:56 pm #124826I get that tingly sensation all the time. It drives me nut, like good nuts, not bad nuts lol. I’ve had to come off domperidone I hope temporarily so that’s no doubt delaying my full milk. My nipples do be soaked and the flange has milk after each session though.
April 13, 2022 at 3:39 pm #124840The effort y’all put into inducing lactation is impressive. BZ!

InactiveWhere do I start? I’m 53. I started the journey of relactating over a year ago. I use Domperidone, I take Balance of Nature fruits and vegetables capsules (very expensive, but worth it!) I do this because with my job as a travel healthcare worker, I cannot always eat everything I need to eat so I can have a full days worth of necessary fruits and veggies. I drink TONS of water! I take Moringa, sunflower lecithin (after a horrific case of mastitis, this was life saver), and I pump constantly and hand express. I finally have milk but it wasn’t always that way. I remember when I first started and I felt so defeated! I started feeling the tingling in my breasts and then there was pain also because they were changing sizes. I have smaller breast so I felt every single change it seemed. I remember when I first started hand expressing and I had really thick pieces of white stuff coming out my nipples and then after that happened I had a lot of clear liquid which encouraged me and excited me! I then just continued the process day in and day out and then I finally started to produce milk. My milk is very sweet. I don’t get a lot of milk but I do get milk. I think I would have more milk if I had a partner. That’s how I induced. I want to produce more but I’m very happy with what I have. It was very hard work to get to this place! I’m proud of myself for my journey. Maybe I’ll find somebody one day to experience this with. 🙂

InactiveMy pleasure!!! It’s always nice to know you’re not on the journey alone.
April 13, 2022 at 4:31 pm #124864@silkymilky48 I hope you find someone deserving of you.
April 14, 2022 at 2:48 pm #125157@juicyboobies why did you stop dom? I had no side effects until I started having heart palpitations so I had to stop unfortunately
April 15, 2022 at 2:44 pm #125728It’s so ironic. I’d been feeling down about not much noticable increase in the side I’m relactating on in a couple weeks. I didn’t get a chance to pump yesterday except one am session, so thought for sure I had set myself back. Well production has doubled today! and I got my first spray in over a year and a half probably! I’m leaking through my shirt when I hand express, just incredible!!! Keep it up ladies, so worth it!
July 6, 2022 at 2:05 pm #160658So nice to see acknowledgement! Thank you!
