Here’s a few questions about the site I have received, plus answers. Ask anything you like below, I will be happy to answer.
Q. – Are the maps supposed to be accurate? Because they are not!
A. – Not supposed to be really accurate – they are intended to be “accurate enough” to give members a rough idea of who is in their general area, and who might be worth contacting. And, at the same time, to be “vague enough” so that no-one could ever be identified or traced just by their appearing on the map as a red/blue marker with a number. Remember, non-members can NOT see profile pages.Q. – Will this site remain free to use?
A. – Yes, it will remain free for all to use. There will be no membership fees, no requirement to pay anything, no different tiers of membership. It will stay exactly as it is now, free for all. I might add a small “donate button”, discreetly hidden on its own page, so if anyone wants to buy me a cup of coffee as a small ‘thanks’ for running the site, then they can. But that’s purely voluntary, no obligation, the site remains free.Q. – What’s allowed & not allowed on this site?
A. – Allowed: breast pics on profiles, face-pics on profiles.
Not-allowed: porno-style pics, genitals pics.
Not-allowed: deleting your account & then creating a new one. Why? Because this is a method to try to get around the BLOCK function. If you have a good reason for deleting & then creating a new account, you can contact Admin for approval.
Allowed: sending one or two messages or friend requests, unsolicited, to any member. This is a dating site after all! However, if you don’t receive a reply you should leave it at that.
Not allowed: Asking for fees or payment of any kind on Profile Pages or Personal Ads is NOT ALLOWED. Sorry, if you persist with this then your account will be deleted.
Allowed: Sending a PM asking someone to contact you with your email/phone number/Kik name, etc. That’s fine.I will add more to this later.
Q. – Why is the chat room only open for a few hours each day? Why not 24/7 ?
A. – We tried leaving it open 24/7 but it remained empty pretty much all the time. It seems people popped in randomly, saw the room was empty, and left. And that happened all the time. So by restricting the chat room to fewer hours, at least members have a chance of finding others in the room to talk to.Q.- How can I use the site to find a partner?
A. – Lots of options, you can try …… 1) Place a Personal Ad ….. 2) Reply to a Personal Ad, either publicly or privately by sending them a Private Message ….. 3) Use the maps to find members in your area and then send them a PM ….. 4) Use the Search box to find members in your area and send them a PM ….. 5) Include a visible external email address or Kik name on your profile page, some members might prefer to contact you that way …. 6) Regularly update the “What’s new” box on your Activity page, this is visible on the front-page of the site and might get you noticed ….. 7) Fill out the About Me section of your profile page properly with a good description of yourself, something interesting. Putting “I’m new here” or “Curious, just checking this site out” is probably not going to make others want to contact you.April 4, 2020 at 8:07 pm #2778AnonymousInactiveHey,
Just a random comment – it seems like the personal drop down menu is a bit broken: when I hover over my name in the top right it often says I have messages or friends requests – notifications, really – which I have already looked at. It doesn’t seem to be able to tell if they’ve been acknowledged or not.
Just to let you know 🙂
Purple xApril 4, 2020 at 11:20 pm #2784Purple, thanks, I am aware those little blue notification numbers can be a bit erratic. Does this problem occur on PC screen or mobile or both? I mostly use a tablet to view the site so it isn’t so apparent to me. I assume you are talking about a PC & mouse when you say “hover”? I will have a look into it and see if anything can be done. Thanks for the heads up.
