I have had shoulder pain for a long time and it’s just getting worse. I can’t text my friends or use my right hand a lot. So my therapy has been to go bra free as much as I can and use a cami to stop “headlights” and not have people suspect that I am not wearing one. I would like a bra that doesn’t pull my shoulder and with the winter jackets my shoulders get even more burdened. Anyone having the same issue? How do you deal with it?
October 4, 2026 at 2:34 pm #821917If you belong to or go to a gym there are some machines and routines that may have significantly positive effect on the pain you are experiencing. I have used machine and weightlifting for a long time to stay fit and on occasion used specific routines to help repair or relieve pain.

October 4, 2026 at 3:03 pm #821933There are posture correcting bras that might help with better alignment, support and will take the pressure off your shoulders carrying heavy breasts. Here is one, but there are many on the market.

October 4, 2026 at 4:20 pm #821970Cortisol shots are hit and miss. For some it lasts long, for others not much.
Hope you feel better soon. It may take time but hope you have full recovery.October 4, 2026 at 4:25 pm #8219723 exercises you can do at home with dumbbells.
Get 2 10lbs or a weight that feels comfortable dumbbells.
1. Lying on a bench on your back hold the dumbbells out to the side, horizontal to the floor arms fully extended 90 degrees. Raise simultaneously til they meet in the middle above you. Lift and lower slow and easy. Start with like 3 sets of 10 reps. This is commonly referred to as a butterfly.
2. Lay on the bench face down and do the same in reverse. Start with the weights down and lift your arms with the weights out 90 degrees to as close to horizontal as possible. This is obviously a reverse butter fly and same with sets and reps.3. This would be done with more weight probably but start literally. Standing straight with good posture and arms at your side with weights in hand. Then simply shrug your shoulders without moving any other body parts or muscles other than those necessary to accomplish the exercise. Start lite and same with sets and reps.
As you gain strength and stamina adjust weights and sets / reps.
There is a relationship between sets and reps. One increases strength and the other increases muscle mass generally speaking.
Always do these exercises slowly and stretch prior to beginning your exercises.
If you know a personal trainer or Dr definitely check with them to verify what’s best for you.

October 4, 2026 at 5:32 pm #821999I have issues with shoulder, neck and back pain too, thanks to being so blessed! A few years ago I switched to wearing longline bras or half-corsets, they help redistribute some of the weight and really help take the load off your shoulders. Now I find my back hurts more when I’m NOT wearing a bra, they help that much! I buy most of my bras at Lane Bryant but their sizing is a bit wonky.

October 4, 2026 at 8:46 pm #822081I don’t know if it would help for you or not but it might be worth a try, I have Parkinson’s and end up with some pretty stiff and sore muscles in my back from time to time I have found a lot of relief with acupuncture, I see a lady usually about once a month and I can go in with the back that’s all messed up and usually about 24 hours after I have a treatment things feel pretty good again just an FYI deal with it what you wish
