Update:
The USA map is ready to use now. most major towns/cities etc. are available as searchable locations ….(except for Hawaii & Alaska, yes I forgot about you, sorry guys!, you will be added tomorrow)
How to “pin” yourself to the map: View the map, pick a numbered location closest to you, go to EDIT MY PROFILE, scroll down to “USA Map No.” and enter that number, click SAVE CHANGES, all done.
Is it compulsory? : No, it’s completely your choice. If you don’t add yourself on the map, your profile will not appear in map search results. You will however continue to appear in the standard search results as usual.
What if I don’t live near any of the numbered locations? : Pick the closest one and use that. Most searchers are probably interested in anyone in their entire region, not just on their doorstep.
PLEASE NOTE: Because this is new there are no members pinned to the map yet, so search results will be totally empty until members start adding themself. Might take a while!

Ok, this new map should work fine, please let me know of any glaring errors & spelling mistakes I might have made and I will correct them. I will probably add more locations if needed – to fill in the “gaps” – but for now it should be good enough for most members to find useful.

Morning Michael. I tried to search area 1 (NYC) for both male and female, and it only returned 1 result. That doesn’t sound right, does it?
Jack, all members have to “pin” themself to any particular map location, as detailed above. It’s their choice. If they don’t, they won’t appear in map search results.
The map is new, so it will take a while until many people do it. I will add a notice on the map page itself to make it clearer what members need to do.
